    Supervision includes:

  • Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner

    Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP)

    Full-Time or Part-Time | Outpatient | In-Person & Telehealth


    About the Role

    PsychNebraska is seeking a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to provide outpatient psychiatric evaluation, medication management, and therapy services for clients ages 6 and up. Care is delivered across settings — in-clinic, contracted facilities, or via telehealth — with support from a collaborative team of office staff, behavioral technicians, nurses, and NPs.


    Key Responsibilities

    • Conduct psychiatric evaluations, therapy, and medication management.
    • Assess, diagnose, and treat clients across the lifespan.
    • Prescribe, adjust, or discontinue medications in line with state scope of practice.
    • Collaborate with counselors, social workers, and family members for comprehensive care.
    • Maintain accurate, timely documentation in the EHR and ensure compliance with HIPAA and payer regulations.
    • Participate in treatment planning, crisis intervention, and coordination of services.
    • Provide occasional coverage for colleagues and respond to urgent client needs as scheduled.

    Qualifications

    • Master’s or Doctorate in Nursing with PMHNP focus (or in progress).
    • ANCC certification as a PMHNP (or eligible).
    • Current, unrestricted APRN and DEA licenses in Nebraska (or ability to obtain).
    • Minimum 1 year of psychiatric client care experience (clinical rotations count).
    • Strong skills in EHR use, collaboration, and communication.

    Preferred Experience

    • Telemedicine service delivery.
    • Work with underserved populations.
    • Crisis management and de-escalation.

    Compensation & Schedule

    • Paid a percentage of collections plus benefits and reimbursed expenses.
    • Flexible schedule (typically 4–5 days per week, 8:00 am–8:00 pm CST).
    • Full-time defined as ~60 weekly client appointment slots; part-time options available.

    Program Coordinator

    Full-Time or Part-Time | Clinic-Based & Telehealth Support


    About the Role

    PsychNebraska is seeking a Program Coordinator to support the daily operations of our outpatient psychiatric clinics. This role ensures smooth clinical workflow, assists providers with patient coordination, and helps maintain high-quality client care. The Program Coordinator will be a key point of contact for patients, families, and staff, providing professional communication and organizational support.


    Key Responsibilities

    • Coordinate patient scheduling, intake, and follow-up appointments.
    • Assist with insurance pre-authorizations, authorizations, and documentation as needed.
    • Communicate with patients, families, and providers via phone, email, and secure messaging.
    • Support providers with caseload management, ensuring timely follow-up and continuity of care.
    • Monitor EHR records for accuracy and completeness; assist with data entry and updates.
    • Track program activities, outcomes, and client progress for internal reporting.
    • Troubleshoot scheduling or communication barriers to keep clinical operations efficient.
    • Serve as a professional representative of PsychNebraska in all patient and partner interactions.

    Qualifications

    • Experience in behavioral health, healthcare, or related field preferred.
    • Strong communication skills (verbal, written, digital).
    • Proficiency with computers, including Microsoft Office and EHR platforms.
    • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
    • Ability to adapt quickly, learn new systems, and problem-solve in real time.
    • Comfort interacting with patients of diverse backgrounds in a supportive and professional manner.

    Compensation & Schedule

    • Salaried position with benefits (health, dental, etc.) plus reimbursed expenses.
    • Flexible full-time or part-time scheduling available within clinic hours (8:00 am–8:00 pm CST).
